FAQ'S
Do you provide the alcohol?
No, clients are responsible for supplying their own alcohol.
Under Canadian alcohol laws, only businesses with a proper liquor licence can legally sell or supply alcohol.
Because we operate as a mobile bartending service, we do not sell, purchase, or transport alcohol on behalf of clients.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes! all bartenders with Evolving Events are Smart Serve certified, ensuring responsible alcohol service in compliance with Canadian liquor laws. Our business is also fully covered with general liability insurance, which helps protect both our clients and our team during every event. You can relax knowing your bar service is handled safely, professionally, and with care.
Is gratuity included?
Gratuity is not automatically included in our service pricing.
Tipping is always appreciated and can be added at your discretion based on your experience.
For private or larger events, an optional gratuity can be added to your final invoice if you prefer to handle it in advance rather than on the event day.
We happily accept cash tips whichever is most convenient for you.
How do I secure my date?
To secure your event date, we require a non-refundable deposit along with a signed service agreement.
Once both are received, your date is officially booked and confirmed.
The remaining balance is typically due 7 days before your event, unless otherwise stated in your invoice.
We recommend booking early — especially during busy seasons — to ensure availability.
Do we need a Special Events Permit?
If your event is being held on private property (like a home, private venue, or rented hall), most municipalities do not require a Special Occasion Permit (SOP) as long as alcohol is not being sold and the event is invite-only.
If your event is taking place in a public space or you plan to sell or serve alcohol publicly, you’ll need to apply for a Special Occasion Permit through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

Please Note: Evolving Events does not issue or manage Special Occasion Permits. However, our team is happy to guide you through the process and help determine whether your event requires one based on your location and setup.
